MGC of VCU Wins National Award!

Congratulations to the members of Multicultural Greek Council for participating in their first Mid-American Greek Council Association's Annual Conference. The Executive Board members that attended on behalf of MGC brought back two National Awards. The first award presented was for Council Management & Public Relations, and the second award was received for Self Governance and Judicial Affairs!

Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded on February 25, 1981 at UCLA.

alpha Kappa Delta Phi's motto is "Timeless Friendship Through Sisterhood".

VCU alumni Ali Khan (Sigma Beta Rho) is now the National President of Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity, Inc.

Lambda Upsilon Lambda was founded on February 19, 1982 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Kappa Phi Gamma provides an annual Emerald Endowment Scholarship which is awarded by the Sorority to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.

Sigma Lambda Upsilon was founded on December 1, 1987 at Binghamton University by Four courageous women.

Delta Phi Omega's philanthropy is Children's Literacy and Education.

Lambda Phi Epsilon's motto is "To Be Leaders Among Men".

alpha Kappa Delta Phi was established at the University of California at Berkeley in the Fall of 1989.

Sigma Lambda Upsilon's "Sigma Lambda Pearls" is a program designed to expose young girls to opportunites and experiences that have been previously male-dominated.

VCU Charter Alumni Amrita Bajwa (Kappa Phi Gamma) is on the National Board of Regents as the Marketing Regent.

Sigma Beta Rho was founded on August 16, 1996 at the University of Pennsylvania.

Cheena Sigh (Delta Phi Omega) was pronounced Ms. India of Virginia in 2004.

Lambda Upsilon Lambda was recognized nationally by former First Lady, Senator Hillary Clinton and the former White House administration for their continual leadership and community service efforts.

Kappa Phi Gamma was founded on November 8, 1998 at the University of Texas at Austin in Jester Basement.

alpha Kappa Delta Phi annually donates funds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation through their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Delta Phi Omega was established on December 6, 1998 at the University of Houston.

Lambda Phi Epsilon donates funds to the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation, the Asian American Donor Program, and the Asians for Miracle Marrow Matches.

Lambda Upsilon Lambda is the first Latino Fraternity to be chartered at an Ivy League Institution and now has chapters at all Ivy League Universities.

Sigma Lambda Upsilon's Sorority Ideals are Sincerity, Loyalty, and Unity.

Sigma Beta Rho's philanthropy is Youth Education and Development.
